Gist runs in-person AI training for working professionals and curious beginners across Broward and Palm Beach counties — short classes, half-day workshops, and 1:1 consulting. We're based in Plantation.
The premise is simple: most people learn AI faster sitting next to someone who can answer their question than they do clicking through a six-hour online course. So that is what we do — small rooms, real laptops, real workflows, and a real person to ask. Every class is taught in person, in South Florida, by the founder.
Who teaches
Alex Jeannopoulos — Plantation-based, 30 years building software. Teaches AI the way he wishes someone had taught him: practically, with examples that matter, and no buzzwords. Every Gist class is taught by Alex personally; there are no junior instructors and no franchisees.
Most people start at the top of this list and work down. There's no wrong entry point.
AI Office Hours — a free, drop-in hour to ask anything about AI, over coffee in Plantation. Bring the thing you're stuck on and leave with it working. Wednesdays, 10–11 AM. No class, no commitment. Free.
Claude 101 — 2-hour intro for absolute beginners. Walk out with five prompts that save you an hour a day. From $149.
Claude 201 — for people already using AI daily who suspect they're only scratching the surface. Hand it a folder of your own documents and get real answers back. From $249.
Industry tracks — half-day workshops for realtors, lawyers, CPAs, and financial advisors. Built around the paperwork your own week is actually made of. From $349 per seat.
On-site team workshops — we come to your office, so your whole team learns the same things the same way and can help each other after. From $750 (1-hour lunch-and-learn) to $2,500 (half-day).
1:1 consulting — we sit down with your actual practice and set AI up around how you already work. From $200/hr, or $2,500 for a full setup.
